Avalanche
Observed a large natural avalanche on the west face of Kendall Mountain, Rio grande slide path. Avalanche released in what appeared to be a heavily loaded wind pocket that avalanched earlier this winter but did run far. Difficult to estimate crown depth from far away. Debris was 2-3' deep from where photo was taken. Debris stopped short of the Kendall Mountain road. Debris traveled approximately 2000 vertical feet. Estimated to have run late last night 3/1 as debris had a dusting on it. Additionally, observed cornice or wet loose activity on the east face of Grant Turk. Estimated to have run between 9-10am 3/2.
