Quick report
- Riding Quality
- good
-22 all day at valley bottom. Quite cold in the shaded drainage we were in all day between 900-1400m. 15-30cm of low density powder, likely from late last week & Sunday night snowfall. No wind effect, some surface hoar developing in sheltered areas. No signs of instability other than some recent sluffs in steep terrain. Observed some rather large recent sluffs on Charles mountain across the valley that did not step down. My thought is that the recent loading that is pushing the snowpack to its tipping point further south has not occured in this region. Conditions seemed almost identical to what I saw near the Farm on both Thursday and Sunday of last week. I imagine things could quickly change with this upcoming warm weather. I hope it does not get too warm as ski quality is great at the moment!
