Skinned right from the parking lot up to surprise pass. Great travelling, along a pretty supportive base. We observed what we believe was a 1 to 2 cm thick melt freeze crust that was on all aspects below 2300m. Pinwheeling in steep gully features from the past few days. Skiing above 2300m was great. Average HS was 60cm. Was able to ski right to the lake, although the crust below 2300m, was not supportive therefore making for some heinous skiing.
