South-facing slopes NTL have a non-supportable 2-3 cm crust sandwiched by decompassing fragments above and 1mm facets below. This crust sits above weak facets at the ground. Northerly-facing slopes and west slopes BTL can generally be described as having a weak layer at the surface, a weak layer of 3mm facets at the ground, and a slightly less weak layer in between. An ECT produced an easy propagating failure NTL on a drifted NNE slope. This indicates that there are some places with enough of supportable slab (although still a weak slab) to produce a result. Surface conditions are a mix of facets, crusts, and areas of 2mm surface hoar. These surfaces may become a weak layer when buried under new snow. Near surface faceting observed on west to north to northeast aspects. Surface hoar observed on north-facing terrain NTL. Crusts on south-facing slopes.
