Weather

Cold, calm sunny day. A few scattered clouds left in the valley after a weak system moved out early this morning.

Snowpack

50cm-65cm faceted snowpack on both east and west aspects at 11,200ft. No wind-effect on the surface anywhere in this area. A previously wind-effected knoll was quite faceted out and the slab was only 4F hardness in most places and lacked any tension or propagation when jumped on. In the snow profile the slab was inconsistent and faceting where it was still present up to 5cm in thickness. Basal facets were 3mm and up to 10cm in depth on a somewhat shaded west aspect. ECTX results on both a east aspect and an west aspect as well as an additional CTN on east exhibit the lack of slab present in the snowpack in this area.
