Calm, clear and warm
Snowpack
Warm day with southeast getting moist and developing a crust by afternoon. No signs of instability until above treeline. I got a whumpf, that sounded more like a pop, and a few seconds later I saw cracks in the upper slope but the slab did not release. I dug on an east-facing wind-loaded near treeline slope and got an ECTP15 on small facets 30 cm from the surface.---Easterly-facing slopes are more filled in than at any point this winter.
Avalanche
A few small avalanches near south Twining Peak. Not much avalanche activity around the east side on Indy.
