Weather
increasing cloud cover through the morning turned into high thin clouds by mid morning. Brisk temperatures in the single digits, and light winds out of the West.
Snowpack
Storm snows from the last week show signs of settlement. The snowpack surface has faceted heavily in the recent cold, clear weather. Surface Hoar to 3mm is easily found near pass summit. Alpine slopes show evidence of being re-arranged by NW winds in the last 5 days. The snow surface has been faceting, and much of the snowpack itself is faceted. 1F hardness slabs formed from wind events in early December provide some midpack supportability to riders
