Weather

A few passing clouds in the morning, otherwise a blue-bird day. Temperatures were crisp in the shade and pleasant in the direct sunshine.

Avalanche

A widespread natural avalanche cycle occurred on 12/28 and lasted overnight into the early morning hours of 12/29. The majority of avalanches viewed ranged from D1.5 to D2 on west through north to east aspects at all elevations. There were several D1 storm slab avalanches on south-facing gullies above the treeline.
