We spent March 4/5 in the Kees and Claire Hut area skiing the mellow slopes north of Russet Lake and Whirlwind off the south of Fissile. We did not see any avalanche activity over the trip or signs of activity prior. The new storm snow was well bonded. Sunday afternoon was warmer, sunny and it appeared that some areas were beginning to develop surface hoar.
