Snow Conditions

We were pleasantly surprised with great snow conditions from the car to the summit of Flatiron. We mostly only observed powder (maybe 15cm deep) not much crust. The only crust I’d mention is on a south facing slope that we skied but it was more like a styrofoam texture. There are cornices forming in the Flatiron bowl, NE aspect. Day started out sunny and storm rolled in around 3pm

Windy on the summit and we could see blowing snow off the Markhor ridge. Day started sunny and ended with a snow storm although not too intense by 4pm. The snow coming down was very wet
