High thin clouds kept the crust solid at the surface on sunny slopes and the surface hoar intact on the cooler, northerly-facing slopes. Winds were not strong enough to drift snow along the Continental Divide

Snowpack

The persistent weak layer 30-45 centimeters below the surface is still visible but is losing sensitivity. On sunnier aspects, it is a crust/facet combination that is producing moderate, non-propagating ECT's ECTN14. On northerly-facing slopes, the PWL is an intact surface hoar layer that is producing moderate propagating ECT's. Surface's are a mixed bag of crusts, crust/facet/crust combinations and surface hoar.
