Weather

Snow level was 10100' at 9 am and dropped to 8500' by 11 am. Overcast skies with moderate and gusty SW wind visibly moving snow to lee slopes.

Snowpack

Snow depth ranged from 6-16". Old / new interface is reactive. 7-8" of new snow was dense and cohesive enough to communicate fracture with an ECTP4 down 20cm on 4mm depth hoar. Uncertainty regarding spatial continuity of weak layer. Plenty of surface roughness in the Cliffs.
