Weather

Clear, Light winds BTL from the NW, Temp 20. In the alpine the wind looked moderate to strong from the NW. Heavy drifting and feather plumes were observed. Prime conditions for critical slab formation.

Snowpack

Surface facets forming, see pic. Good Powder skiing/riding below tree line where the powder is unconsolidated, there is no stiffness or slab formation. Compression test fractures were non planar & resistant. Extended column test showed no results. It's PowTown below tree line out there.
