Winds drifting moderate amounts of snow off ridgelines. Minor drifting near treeline. air temperatures were cold, but the sun and incoming radiation was strong.
Snowpack
Below Treeline: Surface snow warming rapidly on sunny slopes. Storm instabilities confined to upper layers of storm snow (CT9 PC -10cm). Storm snow was bonding well to old snow surface. Persistent weak layer was 2.5 feet deep, and still breaking but not propagating (CT23 SP -75cm, ECTX).
