Snowpack

Below TL on W-NW aspects, I found 45-75 cm deep weak snowpack. In areas exposed to the sun, the top of the snowpack is capped with a 4 cm K hard crust. Under the crust, I found well-developed F and F- hard, resistant weak layers. On areas less exposed to the sun (NW aspects), the snowpack was deeper with a very weak upper snowpack. The upper 45 cm of the snowpack consisted of an F hard DF layer on top of an F hard FC. These layers peeled off a mid 30 degrees slope below my pit. See snowpits for more details.
