Calm Sunday after Saturday storm

Pit results on South face of Soda Mtn: ECT4 Q1 @65cm Surprised when storm layer settled on 4th tap. Easy pry from shovel produced a Q1 shear. Decided against skiing the south face as 35cm is deep enough to be a problem on a large release. 100cm snowpack depth. Lower slab is firm ECTX.
