Remote skier accidental size 2 on a NE facing slope at 1150m across the Shames River in the Zola Bowl area. Two compression tests gave no results slightly below the startzone where the surface snow made for very good powder skiing. Snow at startzone was wind slab. Crown was 50cm deep and 100m long with some sections of crown being in very gentle terrain. Avalanche ran on the 161225 surface hoar layer. There was no skier involvement.
