Hermit

Nice day up Hermit, fog kept things cool in morning, but noticed some crustiness on steep south slopes on the way down. Steady north winds with lots of visible snow transport on the ridgetops and in the alpine changing the snow above 2200 m to wind effected but still skied ok, below this skiing was better on settled storm snow with 15 cms of ski pen. No cracking or whumphing observed today although lots of relatively recent slabs out of the Grizzly slide path and Mt Sifton.
