Traversed Elma and Brooks, skiing down the W trees of Elma and NW ridge/NE trees of Brooks. Surface conditions on N aspects were excellent. S aspects had breakable sun crusts. Temperature was ~-5, winds light S/SE. Flurries in the am. Sky overcast in am, broken in pm. Second visit to the area in 5 days. No new significant wind transport or precip since last visit. No wind slabs on ski cuts of steep rolls on N aspects (Feb 27 and Mar 3). These observations and those of the bulletin increased our confidence in the snowpack. We skied the steeper (skier's right) aspects of the Brooks NW ridge (40 degree convex rolls) without any reactivity. We skied steep (35-40 degree) NE tree lines to skier's right of the usual uptrack with only occasional sloughing.
