Tropical Telkwas

Today we rode in the Telkwa's. Temperatures were warm today with a high of plus 3.2 degrees at 1600 meters. Snow was moist on all aspects up to 1800 meters. Riding quality was poor with a variety of conditions from old warm snow at lower elevations to hard old windslabs in the alpine. Cornices in the Telkwa's are massive and have began to shed naturally with the warm temperatures. We observed multiple wet loose avalanches to size 1 on solar aspects.
