Snowpack

Height of snow varied across the slope from HS 115cm to 240cm. We dug a test pit at 12,800ft on a NE aspect with a 24 degree slope angle and HS 235cm. We observed sudden planar results in a compression test: CTM 17 SP down 20 cm on 0.5mm rounds and CTH 24 SP down 60 cm on 1.0mm facets We observed propagation on these same layers in an ECT test. ECTP 17 down 20cm on 1F 0.5mm rounds and ECTP 24 down 60cm on 1.0mm 4F facets (below 60cm of pencil hard rounds)
