Weather

Skies were clear all day with Moderate to Heavy winds with bursts of Extreme. Toured from 10,400' to 12,400' mostly on South and East aspects.

Snowpack

Variable at the surface. Sastrugi, powder, firm wind board, etc.

Avalanche

East, ~12,390' on a convexity that neared 35 degrees in angle. Crown varied from 20cm to 40cm and although the entire slab didn't detach, a widespread crack can be seen running from north to south. HS-U-R3-D1
