Snowpack

Out of 4 pits we found quite varying snow heights ranging from 70cm to 200cm. On our deeper pit we found 4 distinct melt/freeze crusts. Out of the 170cm we dug, the pit was 1F to P (K on crusts) but we had some buried near surface facets above and below the bottom crust that was down about 60cm. We had Sudden Collapse results above that crust CTM x 2. We also found ice columns in our most shallow pits with inconclusive snowpack test results.

Noticed many Loose Wet avalanches NR and BLW Treeline driving all around I70 and HWY 91 yesterday.
