I wanted to let you know about a small avalanche I triggered today in Swamp Canyon in Ophir. It was on an easterly aspect glades and was remotely triggered while I was skiing. To the side and above me was a convex slope, I avoided the slope and started skiing off to the side on a lower angle slope and maybe 50 meters below it. The avalanche triggered when I was about 100 meters below and to the side of the convex slope. It ripped right at the convexity with a crown about 2 1/2 to 3 ft deep and 30-40 ft wide, it ran approximately 500 ft. I was able to easily get out of the way and was about at the toe when it stopped.
