Weather
Almost no winds. about 30 degrees, 95% cloud cover. High water content in snow. When kicking around newly fallen down slopes. Balls were forming, although not reaching large diameter, only about 1 inch diameter. Great snowball snow.
Snowpack
About 3 inches of precipitation on very thin layer of facets. Small hard layer formed on top of old snow, maybe from radiation. Avalanches (4 set off) on East to southeast facing slopes. Areas with larger facets layers, cracks were seen, but no propagation. But, slopes on east to southeast were lacking any anchoring plants. More shaded slope had some anchoring. The deeper the snowpack, except in isolated areas, it's more stable. Nothing you guys already knew. You guys do a great job. I'm just hear to tell you what i see.
