Weather
High cloud throughout the mountains this morning diminished towards afternoon. Temps did not feel overly warm and were cool on ridges with the wind.
Snowpack
Snow surface on southerly aspects became wet but would quickly cool and begin to refreeze as each aspect lost direct sun. Warming only affected top 15 cms of snowpack at elevations above 10k ft. Dry snow beneath top 15 cms with more of a Persistent Slab structure. I had moderate ECTP results on facets beneath a very thin sun crust about 40 cms down. Small Wet Loose avalanches observed only in rocky terrain. I tried to get some rollerballing started on a steep southeast aspect in the morning but nothing going on.
Avalanche
The only recent avalanches were small Loose Wet avalanches. Larger Persistent Slab avalanches that I observed were old from 2/4 or prior.
