Weather

Warm temperatures rising to just below freezing at 10,400' with light winds down low, but above 11,500 they were blowing steadily in the teens and gusting into the 30 mph range from the Southwest. Noticed snow transport and cornice building on Ruby and Owen Peaks throughout the day and moving snow on South facing slopes near and above treeline

Snowpack

In previously skied and controlled terrain above treeline on an East facing slope, a small wind slab was released by a skier in 35° terrain. This was 6-8" deep and R1-D1 in size
