Mostly Sunny with wind gusts 15-20 mph.
Snowpack
12-18 inches of new snow right side up on top of a firm faceted crust, on top of old snow 3-4 inches on top of faceted crust next to the ground.
Avalanche
It looked like the slope was wind loaded from the day before creating a small wind slab which later broke. We did not go into the area for a more in depth report so this is my best guess from our vantage point. Southeast facing, 11,500 feet, about a 30-35 degree slope.
