Warm temperatures, sky cover was few, winds were out of the NW light.

Snowpack

Variable conditions existed during the tour. Travel from the trailhead along the trail had minimum snow, and patchy conditions. Rocks in the trail. Traveled on west to north facing slopes below tree line. Found melt freeze crust over faceted snow. Height of snow varied from 15 cm on a westerly facing slope to 45 cm on northern aspects, below tree line. On slopes with more snow, large faceted grains existed near the bottom of the snow pack.
