Weather

Very warm day. Temps in mid 30's where we were. Temps at Pass level were 45-50+. Clear skies and light southerly breeze till about 1pm when winds switched to W and increased to teens (Winds continued to increase through the afternoon to 20's with higher gusts).

Snowpack

Traveled on southerly aspects near and just above treeline. On tour up thru some SE trees found large patches of dry ground to navigate thru and very weak shallow snow (pole plants caved thru often). Open areas were generally more supportive.
