Weather
Snowing lightly. Mostly big fluffy flakes, a tiny bit of graupel. Light (especially for RMNP) winds. Surprisingly nice and pleasant out.
Snowpack
3-6 inches of fluffy new snow on top of old snow layer. New snow was generally nice and fluffy, not forming many slabs. Saw many point releases of new snow on steep terrain in all aspects. Lots of sluffing of new snow on steep slopes. On several very steep small E facing slopes, new snow formed a shallow windslab which was triggered by skiers.
