Weather

Nice day up on the pass 22F, with light winds. Skies overcast so light was flat for taking photos, and scoping start zones through binocs.

Snowpack

West slopes near treeline varied from scoured to dirt , to ~65cm in spots sheltered from the strong west winds we have experienced since early December. Several minor local collapses were observed as we skinned over large "wind whales" near treeline.

Avalanche

Small soft slab bank slips off 4 mile on west side of pass.
