I dug a pit yesterday on a SE aspect of Mt Trelease near tree line yesterday morning. Definitely found the slab layer that your reports have been discussing. It was not particularly reactive but did seem to have the potential to go big if it went. Beyond that there was no whumphing, settling or shooting cracks to report. I'm not sure if this sort of subjective info is of use to you or not (especially since it echoes your reports) but, thought I would pass it along and let you decide it is helpful.
