Snowpack
North to Northeast aspect on about 32 degree slope and wind loaded. Just below the ridge while doing a ski cut I jumped on the snow right below the apex of a convex in the snow. I felt and heard a collapse and saw cracking. It did not slide but I did not stick around. We did not see any other slides in the area. Very reactive on shovel sheer and very clean break. During compression test snow collapsed at 8 hits from the hand from most recent storm snow about 3" down. 1 hit from the elbow caused collapse about 2' deeper down. Below that was about 2' of faceted snow.
