Weather

Scattered to overcast skies with clouds increasing in the morning and then decreasing this afternoon. Winds were light to moderate from the southwest with no blowing snow observed. Scattered light snow began around 11am and continued through 1 pm with no accumulation. I did observe some cumulus clouds and the isolated cumulonimbus cloud began to build after 2 pm.

Snowpack

Skied NE slopes up to 32 degrees with no signs of instability. Exposed areas in Coney's bowl had a thin wind crust and all slopes below 10,000 ft had a faint temperature crust on the surface. There was some evidence of a dust on snow event that occurred yesterday. Isolated areas with dust on the snow surface had a pronounced melt-freeze crust by this afternoon.
