Weather
Snowing heavy on Sunday. Strong winds. Janet's Cabin, 11,600 ft.
Snowpack
Scoured above treeline with several feet blown into the trees below.
Avalanche
Whoomping on slopes under 20 degrees above treeline. Above treeline, evidence of slides on 30+ degree slopes in every direction. 40 foot wide fracture on slope that was about 25 degrees - NW slope, clearing in trees - 4 skiers at top of slope. We got behind a few trees and skinned back up and out into heavier trees. A group of 9 snowboarders at the hut reported triggering a slide on NW slope just a few hundred yards north of the hut with slab "10-41 inches" deep. Very unstable everywhere.
