*massive cornice in picture cracked when my friend rode quite far from the edge but apparently not enough We dug the cornice next to the tree at the usual spot tried to release the cornice with our weight roped up but it didnt move Plan was avalanche nw couloir We decided not to do it considering the cold, couple small storm slabs and no visibility We sadly never got above clouds that day, hermit would have been a better choice But we ended up riding mac d shoulder We haven’t seen any big slide but some slabs were a bit concerning going up the col
