Facing The Wind

It was a cold and windy day in Pine Pass. We saw a few recent wind slabs like the one in the photo that had failed on steep east facing slopes. Yesterday's sun and warm temperatures created a sun crust on all sunny faces and in flat open areas. There are still some pockets of powder and decent riding to be found around tree line in wind-sheltered and shady areas.
