Touchy snow pack

Completed 2 compression tests On the first test snowpack failed on the first light tap 45 cms down on a very prominent facet layer. We repeated the results with it failing on the third light tap on the same facet layer. With other facet layers buried deeper in the snowpack I would be worried about the top layer stepping down and causing a large dense slab avalanche.
