Elk Mountain

Overcast and cloudy all day, with light precip falling in the afternoon in the form of snow.

2 storm slabs sitting on old settled storm snow. First layer is 5cm down, second is 25cm down. 5cm layer releases easily and creates a large amount of manageable sluf. 25cm layer is resistant to release, but does realise with a sudden pop. In isolated terrain this could release and create a size 1-2 avalanche.
