- <p>Incident occurred at Haffner Creek Ice Climbing area. Avalanche triggered by climber attempting to set up a top rope on the right side of main ice flow. Climber was walking on flat ground just above the convex of the slope above the ice climb. As the avalanche was triggered, the climber was able to shout a warning and the other climber at the base of the climb was barely able to get out of the way. No one was injured, just shaken up and reminded to stay aware of micro avalanche terrain.</p>
