Warm day with a moderate overnight freeze. Mushy snow low in the trees. Better preserved snow near treeline. South side of rethel above treeline was very firm and windblasted. Ski crampons would have been nice. Sheltered snow on the north sides was great. Very chalky pow. Massive cornice debris at the bottom of the Rethel N Couloir. Cornices looking gnarly all around.
