Cayoosh CR, Peak 2300

We ascended clockwise up Cayoosh creek and up the slopes below N Glacier. Snow quality below the glacier was good/OK, even better in the W facing basin that feeds 7 Mile Creek. Observed ocassional spindrift-caused sluff coming from 1M$ couloir buttress and it's neighbors, but no other slides. Our plan was to ski E from the 2400m summit down mellow slopes, but after a near miss with a cornice in zero visibility, we turned to steep SW facing face/gullies. We skied the onle that terminates in the flat big meadow just above where Cayoosh Cr enters the forest. After the icy, wind swept entrance (50m), the skiing quality was excellent all the way to the apron. The old sun crust was burried deep (ski penetration never got to it) and our sluff was running in the top 10-15 cm on new snow. At the apron, old debris was well covered and/or easily avoidable. We observed no signs of instability.

Periods of blowing snow getting worse throughout the day. Visibility on the summit at 16:00 was 5m
