Weather

Overcast to obscured skies. Winds picked up from the WNW as we went from morning to afternoon. Light snow on and off, with brief periods of S1.

Snowpack

Recent storms have made a pretty deep snowpack of around 2m deep near treeline. Highly variable though with lots of shallow and deep spots from wind scouring and drifting. Most worrisome slopes face north where stiff slabs are interspersed with thin weak layers of facets. There are 3 such interfaces in the top meter of the snowpack (see snow profile).
