Weather

Cloudy morning with snow beginning around noon. Periods of S-2, though very little accumulation. Moderate SW winds gusting to 40 mph at ridge top. Snow seemed to be loading INTO West facing basin in the afternoon

Snowpack

Same. Mostly weak structure with very weak facets below treeline. Near and above treeline the "midpack" is more supportive, but still a faceted base. One very small pocket release in on West slope near treeline, triggered below a ski cut. Only as wide as the cut, 3m wide and ran about 30 feet. Similar to other small slides we saw last week running on a thin crust over large depth hoar. No real "slab", more of a sluff.
