Snowpack

8-12" drifted on S-facing slopes over a roughly 4" thick melt-freeze crust that was very hard (p - k), loose snow below that. Bonding was pretty good (didn't do formal shear test, just hand pits to look at overall structure) but when it warms up or gets sun, could be some serious potential for slides and stepping-down. More snow up there than I've seen in a long time. Pics in the Colorado forum on MountainProject.=
