Weather

Clam and Clear.

Snowpack

New snow continues to stay cold on Northerly facing aspects below treeline. Last night under clear skies a layer of surface hoar grew on the surface of the snowpack. HS averaged around 90 cms with over 2/3 of the snowpack consisting of the new snow from this past week. The new snow cam in "right side up" but sits on layers of crust/facet combinations and facets and depth-hoar at the ground. Coverage is still thin in gully features at lower elevations.

Avalanche

Not as many natural avalanches were observed while driving over Red Mountain Pass than in Cement Creek and Eureka.
