Weather
Warm, with intense solar. Up canyon wind kept sensible temperature cold, and any break in wind would be very noticeable and warm! Few clouds.
Snowpack
No sign of significant wind transport taking place today. Some rollerballs, and moist snow on southerly aspects.
Avalanche
Evidence of significant avalanche cycle from last storm. Nearly everything steep enough slid. A few houses were buried by debris from slide running through timber near mile post 11. A ton of slides off road cuts and steep slopes above taylor canyon road left significant debris on roadway, Taylor Res, and into Taylor River. Debris ranged from 3-15ft deep, and required front loader to clear. Slide path above popular fishing hole near bridge at tailwater of Dam is extremely suspect and should be addressed and considered during next major storm. Evidence of some debris from last storm cycle that ran mid track, but very little friction to slow next slide down. 4-5 anglers were fishing directly below this path today. yikes!
