Weather
day strated clear and cool. Clouds increased through the day: mostly sunny by by 10am, partly cloudy by noon, and then mostly cloudy by 2pm. Generally calm, with occasional gusts ATL on the ridgeline. The breeze was cool.
Snowpack
Recent storm snow was ~6in in this area; surprisingly deep. Blown in to ~8" deep in wind-loaded areas and still soft. Conditions were mostly soft surface snow over the stout crusts, that were 6-12 inches thick. Low elevation S and W facing slopes losing coverage, otherwise still plenty of coverage. No dust. Crusts supportable everywhere to boot pen until at least 1pm. No concerns for wet avalanches today.
