Avalanche

Weather

Calm winds, high-thin cloud cover, and temps in the mid 20's. Cleared storm board of 15 cms snow with 9% SWE since 12/22. Obvious wind effect in the snow since yesterday.

Snowpack

New snow vs. old snow. New snow is is 20-30 cms, and old snow is everywhere worth skiing, but varies tremendously in depth (approx 10-50cms.)

Avalanche

Cracking everywhere. Easily remote triggered a road cut by pushing on the uphill side of the road bank (photo 1 & 2). Observed a natural avalanche on a north-east facing slope at 11,200' (photo 3), and a skier triggered avalanche on an east facing rock band near the top of Richmond Ridge at 11,400' (photo 4). Crossed paths with that same party who also reported triggering 'several' avalanches in McFarlanes Bowl.
